GLOBAL: Warc is today launching the Warc Awards, a global search for next-generation marketing effectiveness, with renowned author Jim Stengel chairing a judging panel.
A prize fund of $30,000 will reward entries across three categories: Effective Content Strategy, Effective Social Strategy (formerly the Warc Prize for Social Strategy) and Best Use of Brand Purpose.
Entry is free and papers submitted as effectiveness case studies are welcomed from any market or discipline. More information and details about how to enter can be found on the Warc Awards site.
Jim Stengel, President/CEO, The Jim Stengel Company, and the man behind The Stengel 50 which showed how the highest-performing businesses are the ones driven by brand ideals, will chair Best Use of Brand Purpose.
He comments: "The best brands in the world have a strong sense of purpose that guides them in all they do. The Warc Awards will showcase the marketers and agencies that have been successful in communicating that brand purpose effectively."
More judges will be announced over the coming weeks. A total of more than thirty judges, from brand owners, agencies and consultancies around the globe will judge entries, with a ten-strong judging panel in place for each category.
Gold, Silver and Bronze winners for the highest-scoring cases will be awarded across the three categories with a $7,000 Grand Prix for the best paper. In each category, judges will also grant three $1,000 Special Awards.
The closing date for entries is 20 April 2017
