Jenny Craig, the Californian-headquartered weight-loss chain, is wasting no time in its quest to appoint a media shop. Naming seven contenders for its $25 million planning and buying duties only last Friday [WAMN: 11-Jun-01], Jenny Craig has shed unwanted shops the way its members shed unwanted pounds.

Yesterday, the chain reported a slimmed shortlist of three: incumbent Carat, Horizon Media (both of Los Angeles) and the San Francisco office of Starcom (which handles the Jenny Craig account for Australia).

A decision is expected before the end of this month.
