Japanese Postal Services to Be Privatized

TOKYO - Japanese postal services are due to be fully privatized by 2017. The new holding company for postal businesses, to be formed next year, is planning an IPO in 2011.

Four subsidiaries under the holding company will separately handle mail delivery, postal savings, postal insurance and management of the post office network.
