TOKYO - An internet-based public relations company, Japan Information Network, has launched a 24-hour multilingual TV channel via the web to provide news and cultural information about the nation to audiences worldwide.
JIN last week began a test broadcast of its Japan Broadcasting System programming in English and Chinese, and plans later this month to launch fully-fledged programming with news, commentary and talk shows featuring Japanese artists and musicians.
By summer, the company intends to broadcast in twelve languages, among them Korean, Arabic, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
