PARIS: Outdoor advertising giant JCDecaux has reported a 7.7% year-on-year rise in first half revenues to €1 billion ($1.37bn; £670m).
The French-headquartered company says its transport unit saw revenues climb 12.1%, while billboards ads grew 8.9%.
The UK saw strongest organic growth of 16.4%, followed by Asia Pacific (14.6%) and North America (7.8%). Only France experienced a slippage of 2% to €288.7m.
Says chairman/co-ceo Jean-Francois Decaux: "We continue to expect that our organic revenue growth in 2007 will be similar to that of 2006, within a likely range of 7%-8%, reflecting ongoing strength in the transport division, a stronger growth rate in street furniture and improved market conditions in France."
