NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, FRANCE: A strong performance from J C Decaux's worldwide transport advertising units steered Europe's largest out-of-home advertising company to a strong set of financial results for the first half of 2006.

Revenues reached €945.8 million ($1.19bn; £646.5m) in the six months to June 30, an increase of 13.4% year-on-year , or 7.6% excluding acquisitions and the impact of foreign exchange.

In the second quarter, revenues rose 10.9% (7.2% on an organic basis) to €503.6m.
