Irish State Broadcaster Increases Ad Revenues

The resurgence in the Irish advertising market shows no signs of slowing.

A report released by Dublin-headquartered media buying agency MCM Communications says ad revenues at the country's state broadcaster, RTE, grew by 22% in the first quarter, or €9.96 million ($12,65m; £6.78m), over the same period last year.

Airtime costs have also risen, with advertisers aiming at the lucrative 15-34 years male market segment now paying 42% more than last year.
