Paris-headquartered Ipsos Group has become the globe’s third largest survey-based market research practitioner by revenues. It now ranks alongside UK-based Taylor Nelson Sofres, lagging only WPP’s Kantar Group and NFO World Group of the US.

Ipsos reported on Tuesday a 46% increase in 2001 revenues to €480.2 million ($422.68m; £294.16), generating an operating profit of €36.9m – 53% up on the previous year.

For the current year Ipsos’ goal is to maintain a high organic growth rate of at least 8%, rising by 2005-2006 to revenues of €1bn and an operating margin of 10%.
