DUBLIN: Newspaper publisher Independent News & Media says rises in advertising revenues and circulations will help it meet its expectations for the year.
The Ireland-headquartered company, which owns titles in South Africa, Australasia and The Independent in the UK, says underlying group circulation revenues were up 5% this year and ad revenues rose by 4%.
It estimates operating margins on its newspaper titles will be 20% this year and underlying earnings are expected to grow by 10%.
The company says online ad revenues from its websites, including PropertyNews.com and classified advertising site Loadza.com, continue to grow at double-digit rates.
Chairman Sir Anthony Reilly commented: "The group is extremely well positioned for continuing strong growth for the future."
