THE BOARD of the Institute of Sales Promotion has accepted joint and several fiscal responsibility for the trade body's performance. Its twenty elected members have all formally signed as directors for their two years tenure with the non-profit organisation - a move intended to foster a sense of accountability at board level. The directors have also undertaken to attend meetings regularly and to carry out the duties assigned to them. Says ISP secretary-general Susan Short: 'The Institute is moving onto the level where it is in the premier league of trade associations.'
