A loose grouping – or “quasi-network” – of Interpublic Group agencies under Lowe & Partners Worldwide will reportedly become permanent.

The arrangement, launched on a trial basis in June, puts Lowe, Bozell and Mullen together as one unit within Interpublic’s Partnership division. Each agency retains its individual brand, but the trio report revenue as a single entity.

The anticipated move to make this set-up permanent marks Interpublic’s latest attempt to tinker with its structure, having set up the Partnership in last year’s overhaul [WAMN: 30-May-01].

Other agencies within the Partnership are thought to be eyeing similar tie-ups, calling the future of the division into question.
