Two of AOL Time Warner’s British units – magazine giant IPC Media and online division AOL UK – have forged a content alliance.
Under the deal, the publisher’s television listings arm IPC TX will work with AOL UK on the latter’s own TV guide.
TX will supply listings and other content, including recommendations of sports events and movies. The guide, which users can personalise by region, will carry branding of IPC’s title TV & Satellite Week.
TX said it had been in talks with its new online partner before IPC was bought by AOL TW. It already provides similar content for the website of ITV.
