THE TIMBERLANDS of the planet continue to be decimated by an avalanche of hard copy reports on the exponential growth of the Internet! The latest of these, published by Continental Research, asserts that home usage of the Internet in the UK more than doubled last year as an increasing number of consumers went online to shop, conduct research, e-mail Auntie Ada in Australia and seek entertainment. The report claims that 25% of Brits now access the Net, compared with only 7% in 1995.
