In an attempt to become a major player in the burgeoning data warehousing sector, IBM has cut prices in return for a share of clients’ profits. According to press reports, IBM has contracted to redevelop an American insurance firm’s database for a substantially discounted price plus 20% of the revenues generated by the update.
