New York-headquartered Hawkeye Communications has beefed-up its European offering with the acquisition of London’s BDS Beechwood, an integrated marketing communications shop with 65 staff and billings in the region of $55 million.

BDS numbers among its clients the music retailing giant HMV and will in future operate as an independent arm of Hawkeye Europe.

In a separate deal, Hawkeye also swooped on fellow Gotham resident DPS Creative, a specialist in retail promotions instore. DPS employs a staff of 35, achieving $50m in annual billings from a clientele that includes American Express.

The prices paid for both acquisitions were not disclosed.
