Job had nothing on Havas!

Not only is the French marketing services company under threat of takeover since corporate raider Vincent Bolloré built-up a 16.4% stake, but its $300 million Intel account is also up for grabs.

Now the latest blow for the beleaguered group is that Volkswagen's $1.4 billion (€1.14bn; £785.5m) media planning and buying account - which Havas' MPG shares with Grey Global's Mediacom) - could be consolidated in the hands of the latter.

Volkswagen has denied the report, stating that "those plans do not exist". Which is curious in the light of a comment by a Havas spokeswoman who let it be known that the agency "would be defending the account".
