Havas Advertising announced an estimated twelve billion euro turnover for 2000, beating analysts’ predictions.
The figures, which were some way ahead of the 11.593 billion euros widely expected, represent a 48.6% jump for the world’s number four ad group from its 1999 total of 8.057 billion euros.
Havas added that it attracted 3.7 billion euros in new business during 2000, with total billings up 22.3% on 1999 (13.8% after adjustments for acquisitions and exchange rates).
The group, whose full results will be published March 1, declined to reveal yearly gross margins.
