Patrician persons’ department store Harrods has teamed with BSkyB to entice viewers into buying Christmas gifts from the Knightsbridge corner shop via Sky’s interactive shopping channel Open.

The channel will tomorrow broadcast an hour-long programme charting the history of the store, during which viewers can buy products using either their remote controls or their telephones.

Revenues will be shared between Harrods and BSkyB.
