Hollywood studios could be on the verge of announcing marketing changes in response to the Federal Trade Commission’s report on the promotion of violent entertainment to teens.

“While I cannot tell you precisely how we will act . . . I can tell you we will act” said Jack Valenti, president-ceo of the Motion Picture Association of America, adding that eight studio executives have agreed to testify before the Senate Commerce Committee next week.

The Senate's Commerce Committee has already proposed legislation on the Senate floor to bar the screening of programs with ‘excessive violence’ at times when children could be watching.
