Euro RSCG Tatham, the Windy City arm of Paris-headquartered Havas Advertising, is to acquire Chicago neighbor agency McConnaughy Stein Schmidt Brown for an unstated sum.

McConnaughy Stein, which boasts billings in excess of $90 million from a clientele that includes Walgreen and A T Kearney, will be integrated into Euro RSCG, losing its identity in the process. The shop has thirty employees.

McConnaughy Stein executive vp/creative director Jim Schmidt (42) steps up to become chief creative officer of Euro RSCG Tatham, while MSSB chair and chief creative officer Tom McConnaughy (58) will oversee the absorption of his former shop, taking the new – and temporary – post of chief integration officer.
