BERLIN: German media commentators predict that the start of the new Bundesliga season on Friday will kick-start a breakthrough in internet TV, thanks to Deutsche Telekom's deal to broadcast soccer matches online.

DT has secured the rights to webcast German national soccer league matches in a bid to boost its triple play offering of high-speed internet bundled with basic telephone and TV services.
