Germany's 'Best Brands 2006' were lauded this week, the four category winners selected from market research data compiled by GfK. The research assesses brands on two criteria: market share and consumer awareness and affinity.

    1. UBS
    2. Franklin Templeton Investments
    3. Deutsche Bank.
The four winners share media space and communications work valued at €1 million, donated by SevenOne Media, WirtschaftsWoche and Serviceplan.
