America Online and food manufacturing giant General Mills have forged a marketing alliance offering AOL users discounts on General Mills’ brands in the offline world.

Products such as Cheerios, Gold Medal flour and Hamburger Helper will be promoted to AOL subscribers and on AOL interactive sites.

The multiyear deal will begin by offering visitors to AOL sites the chance to win an “ultimate party” for friends and kin from Chex Party Mix and Chex Cereal.
