Gap Marketing Chief Quits

SAN FRANCISCO: Ailing clothing brand Gap has parted company with marketing vp Kyle Andrew after five years. The hunt is on for her replacement.

The company spends more than $100 million (€77m; £50.8m) annually in domestic measured media. Independent Laird + Partners, in New York, is the brand's lead creative agency.

Sales have posted a decline for 28 out of the last 31 months. December sales slipped 9% compared with the same period in 2005.
