FOLLOWING A REVIEW of below-the-line agencies, the Central Office of Information has appointed five shops to its sales promotions roster: Carlson Marketing Group, Clarke Hooper, Judith Donovan Associates, Interfocus and Team LGM. In all, there are now 25 b-t-l shops on the COI roster following a statutory review. They fall into five separate categories: (1) agencies with experience of broadcast and/or advertiser-funded programming; (2) sponsorship consultancy and evaluation; (3) packaging and selling sponsorship to the private sector; (4) sponsorship exploitation; and (5) sales promotion and third party associations. The COI plans to step-up its use of sponsorship and promotions in a bid to persuade the private sector to support a range of Government publicity campaigns and events.
