THIS YEAR'S DMA (US) annual convention in San Francisco saw UK direct marketing agencies collar 18 of the top trophies in the International Echo Awards. DP&A and McCann-Erickson Manchester each won a coveted Gold Award, the former for its Goldfish 'Year One' campaign; McCann for its work with the Success-Christie Hospital Initiative. In the financial services integrated media category, DP&A also collected a silver award, again for Goldfish Year One, whilst another silver went to Grey Integrated for its Royal Mail work. Three other Brit shops gained Bronze: two to One to One Direct Communications for its Curtis Fine Papers and DMA (UK) campaigns, and one apiece to WWAV Rapp Collins and MBO/, respectively for Renault UK, and the Royal Mail's DNA Appointment Management Programme.
