LONDON - Sales of Freeview-enabled digital boxes and TV sets in Britain have passed the 10 million mark.
Freeview, a company run by the BBC, National Grid Wireless, BSkyB, ITV and Channel 4, is now the platform of choice in 6.4m UK homes, with sales having risen by one third during the first two months of 2006 against the same period in 2005.
The latest data, supplied by Freeview, confirms the findings issued earlier this week by UK media regulator Ofcom.
