St Louis-headquartered brewing giant Anheuser-Busch has invited four of its roster shops – Chicago-based Leapnet, Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, Boston's Red Advertising and local agency Waylon Ad – to compete for the US advertising account of Michelob beer.

Anheuser, which has increased its media spend by over half since 1998, is also believed to be seeking ideas to extend the Michelob brand, about which it is holding discussions with two other unnamed shops.
