A massive corporate web portal containing over 300,000 pages of information and data has been launched by the Ford Motor Company just one year after the project’s conception.

Over 200,000 staff at more than one thousand locations across the world can interrogate the site, gaining access to news clippings, stock prices and other corporate information – data that Ford believes will boost productivity.

The portal is also interactive, allowing Ford employees to build personal home pages which connect to cost-saving business services, for example electronic-paycheck presentation and text-paging.
