DEARBORN, Michigan: Ford Motor Company is seeking a new US marketing supremo to replace retiring Francisco Codina (pictured). The company is said to be looking inside and outside the business for a sucessor to start at the beginning of November.

Ford also announced a further boardroom shuffle with promotions to evp status of John Parker, head of the Asia-Pacific unit, and Ford Motor Credit ceo Michael Bannister.

The struggling automaker has seen vehicle sales fall by 13% so far this year and is thought likely to step-up cost-cutting measures if the US economic and sales situation do not improve.
