FOX TV TO GO INTERACTIVE IN PRIME TIME

News, 19 October 2000

Newscorp’s Fox Broadcasting has struck a partnership with Wink Communications that will see the launch of interactive enhancements throughout the whole of its primetime programming.

The facility will be free to viewers and requires no hardware or upgrades additional to existing Wink-enabled satellite or cable set-top boxes.

The technology offers audiences program-specific content via TV remote control handsets. It also enables interactive advertising, information requests, discounts-on-demand and other keypad applications.

The launch date has yet to be announced.
