The Federation of European Direct Marketing yesterday elected a new chairman, Holger Albers, the incumbent director general of the German Direct Marketing Association.

The appointment of Albers, quondam vice-chair of the Federation and responsible for relations with FEDMA’s national affiliates, was ratified during the body’s Annual General Assembly in Brussels.

The Assembly also elected four vice-chairs, each with specific responsibilities: Colin Lloyd of the DMA UK (national affiliates); Judi Gehlcken of The Computing Group, UK (Events); Marc Lolivier, Reader’s Digest, France (Public Affairs); and Irene Allanson of Direxions, Belgium (Membership Services). Previous chairman Ivan Hodac remains a board member.

The Assembly also adopted FEDMA’s audit for 2000 and its budget for 2001.
