The much-anticipated transfer of staff from FCB Worldwide in Troy, Michigan, to that city’s BBDO Worldwide began in earnest over Christmas, as over 200 employees reportedly made the switch.
The exodus of staff follows the transfer of around $1.5 billion of DaimlerChrysler’s US business from FCB to BBDO last year [WAMN: 06-Nov-00].
BBDO would confirm only that it had recruited Bill Morden, quondam group VP and chief creative officer on the Chrysler and Jeep accounts at FCB. It did, however, add that it was still making offers to FCB employees.
