TMSi, the online adsales operation controlled by Granada Media, is to be closed and merged into a new venture, Granada Enterprises Interactive.

The move, which becomes effective at the year end, is attributed to TMSi’s loss of the key LineOne account, which recently decamped to US-owned rival DoubleClick.

GEI will not handle any third party sales, instead focusing on sales of Granada’s online portfolio and ITV websites.
