Agency network Euro RSCG – a unit of France’s Havas Advertising – is reportedly planning to reorganise its stateside shops into two groupings.
In an attempt to build a more unified identity for its host of individual agencies, sources suggest the group will house one set of shops under New York’s Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG (to be renamed as the more pronounceable Euro RSCG MVBMS & Partners); the other under Euro RSCG McConnaughy Tatham in Chicago (which is to axe the McConnaughy and become Euro RSCG Tatham & Partners).
The chief executives of the two parent shops – Ron Berger (MVBMS/Euro RSCG) and Gary Epstein (Euro RSCG McConnaughy Tatham) – are expected to take charge of the units formed around their respective agencies.
It is not yet known which shops will fall into which grouping.
