Four top executive have quit Ammirati Puris and, backed by Toronto-headquartered Envoy Communications, have set-up shop to offer advertising and communications services across North America. The new unit will trade as John Street.
Led by former Ammirati president/chief operating officer Arthur Fleishman, who takes an identical role at John Street, the quartet also includes Angus Tucker, Stephen Jurisic and Emily Bain.
Tucker and Jurisic continue in their quondam roles as co-creative directors at the new shop, while Bain retains her Ammirati title and duties as director of strategic planning.
John Street opens its doors for business with a ready-made clientele, including the Toronto Transit Commission, Adidas-Salomon, and the Liquor Control Board of Ontario – all former clients of Envoy's Communique Advertising, now integrated into John Street.
