UK-headquartered magazine publisher Emap has confirmed its new title Elle Girl will hit the shelves for the first time in September, despite speculation that the ad slump would prevent its launch.

The US edition of the magazine will be rolled out in September by Hachette Fillipachi, swiftly followed by versions in Europe. Elle Girl is designed to compete with Cosmo Girl, published by the National Magazine Company.
