Stout singer-songwriter Elton John is taking centre stage in the British Royal Mail’s new £10 million TV advertising campaign scheduled to run October 31 through December 21.

The commercials hype the Royal Mail's ability to meld web retailing with its mail order delivery service. The first airing hits the TV screens on October 31, during the commercial break in the ITV1 Lille v Manchester United Champions League soccer match.

Delivered to the strains of the Johnsonian hit jingle I Want Love, viewers will be treated to the sight of John – whose other talent is for promiscuous shopping – buying goods over the internet, which then magically appear in his living room courtesy of delivery by Royal Mail.
