Dr Pepper Prescribes Slush Puppie for Cadbury Schweppes Expansion

Cadbury Schweppes unit Dr Pepper/Seven Up yesterday sealed the $16.6 million purchase of Slush Puppie, the US manufacturer of non-carbonated frozen beverages.

Vended mainly via convenience stores, the brand attracted UK-headquartered Cadbury because the frozen dispensed beverage sector achieved the second fastest sales growth through such outlets last year.
