International online advertising agency, New York-headquartered DoubleClick, is in close negotiation to acquire rival shop Real Media, revealed an insider on Tuesday.

Neither company, however, was prepared to comment on the report which followed Tuesday’s announcement that DoubleClick had agreed to purchase another competitor, L90, in pursuit of its strategy to build its hi-tech clientele.

Real Media, also Manhattan domiciled, is a subsidiary of Switzerland’s PubliGroupe.
