Omnicom’s BBDO Worldwide has quit the account review by online marketing agency DoubleClick. The reasons for its withdrawal from the $20-$25 million contest are not known
The surviving duo, WPP Group’s J Walter Thompson and Grey Worldwide (part of Grey Global Group), both of New York, will slug it out under the eye of referee Pile & Co, with the verdict announced next week.
Another Manhattan shop, Digital Pulp, previously held DoubleClick’s business but chose not to be a player in the review.
