Internet advertising firm DoubleClick has made a number of new appointments designed to enforce its policies on protecting privacy.
In the US, Nuala O’Connor moves from general counsel for privacy to become vp–data protection and chief privacy officer, a newly created position overseeing consumer information policies and internal privacy initiatives.
Still stateside, Elise Berkower leaves the post of director of adjudication at the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs to become DoubleClick’s privacy compliance officer; and Tom Kordich departs from Cablevision, where he was security engineering and business continuity officer, to become director of privacy technology at the online ad shop.
Across the Atlantic, Amanda Chandler is appointed as European chief privacy officer and director of data protection, with responsibility for the company’s privacy initiatives across the continent. She leaves her former post as compliance manager for the police and criminal justice division of the UK’s Data Protection Registrar.
