LOS ANGELES: The Mouse House reports a 27% jump in fiscal second-quarter profits to $931 million (€688m; £467.5m). Revenue, however, rose only modestly from $8.03 billion to $8.07bn, just below analysts' expectations.

The weak spot in an otherwise strong performance was at the Walt Disney's Company's broadcast television division where ratings sagged and revenues slipped 7% to $1.66bn.
