LONDON: Drinks giant Diageo is to divide the duties of Rob Malcolm (pictured) who retires in December as president of global marketing, sales and innovation. His duties will be shared between new cmo Andy Fennell, and Ron Anderson, the firm's first chief customer officer.
Fennell was previously marketing and innovation director for Europe, while Anderson was formerly managing director of the company's Global Traveland Middle East unit.
Both will report to ceo Paul Walsh, who paid tribute to the retiring Malcolm, who has headed up Diageo's sales and marketing operations since September 2000.
Quoth Walsh: “Under Rob Malcolm, Diageo has established itself as a leading marketer in the world of consumer goods. I thank Rob for the significant contribution he has made to the success of Diageo's brands globally.”
