Britain’s fourth (in terms of size) mobile network, Deutsche Telekom-owned One2One, is to be rebranded T-Mobile by the end of next year.

The name switch will bring the UK unit into line with DT’s European T-Mobile networks which boast some forty million customers across Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Russia.

One2One, which has around 7m UK subscribers plus a further one million re-badged as the Virgin Mobile brand, was acquired by DT from Cable & Wireless in 1999 for £8.4 billion.
