Japanese ad giant Dentsu and American counterpart Bcom3 will merge respective Australian units BAM-SSB and Pure D’Arcy into a single agency titled D’Arcy by the end of this month.

The move is the latest development in the increasingly cosy relationship between the two – Dentsu recently purchased 20% of Bcom3, as well as a 34% stake in the latter’s Japanese agency Beacon Communications.
