Omnicom-owned DDB Worldwide, Paris, has been awarded the international business for Taillefine and Activ, two mineral water brands owned by French foods group Danone.

Although all concerned were zip-lipped about the value of the business, informed estimates put it at $70 million-plus across the twelve nations in which the brands are marketed.

The win brings DDB’s expected tally of Danone water brands – including flagships Evian and Volvic (currently serviced by Paris shops Euro RSCG BETC and Devarrieuxvillaret) to eighteen.

The business will be handled by a newly created unit, DDB Paris International, dedicated to servicing international budgets. At the helm of the new entity is Pierre le Gouvello, former general manager of DDB France.
