The business media division of the Daily Mail & General Trust is to be put up for sale.

The division, which employs three hundred staff, reaps annual revenues of around £30 million. It comprises fifty magazines and 22 trade directories, ranging across the spectrum of business: chemicals, electrical retailing, marine and pharmaceuticals. It also runs fifty exhibitions and conferences.

The disposal is the first step in a major restructuring at DMG World Media, designed to concentrate on four core publishing sectors: antiques; art; home interest; and gifts and sports retailing.
