Limbering up for its flotation on November 6, Germany’s state-owned post office Deutsche Post has chosen the nation’s best-loved entertainer Thomas Gosschalk and his sibling Christoph to front the IPO's launch campaign.

Hamburg agency Jung von Matt has been retained to create the $50million campaign with a brief to persuade between 25% and 30% of German consumers to invest in the privatisation.

According to ACNielsen, Germany, Deutsche Post spent some $70 million on advertising in 1999.
