Women’s magazine Cosmopolitan is to launch a chain of twenty Cosmo-themed coffee shops, where suppers can sample the title’s staple menu of health, beauty and lovelife along with their food and drink.
The outlets will be branded Life Centre, serving breakfast and lunch during the day before turning into a licensed bar in the evenings. Other features include nail and make-up bars.
The project is being backed by Cosmo’s publisher National Magazine Company – the UK division of the world’s largest publisher Hearst Magazines.
The first Life Centre will be in Manchester, slated to open in August to coincide with The Cosmo Show, the magazine’s retail exhibition. The remaining nineteen outlets will open their doors over the next two years.
